Alison Wright is an English actor from the UK. The Americans is her most known role. In this role, she won the Primetime Emmy Award and received much critical acclaim. The actress also appeared in The Ryan Murphy limited series Feud: Bette & Joan and Hollywood. Wright was born on 12 July 1976 from Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, where she was raised by adopted parents. She began dancing and acting at a young age. She went to classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as well as The Barrow Group, both located in New York City. The waitress was employed while auditioning for parts. Divers and scuba diver, she fell into a coma after a cardiac event in the sea.
